Abstract: |
The 100th anniversary of the Russian architect Ivan Leonidov initiated an educational Russian-German "virtual collaboration" producing a video computer simulation. The information about the student project in Moscow, 1926 entitled "A Printing House of the Isvestija Newspaper", was very poor. Ground plan and elevation, a perspective as well as historical photographs and a video of the existing situation gave the basic information in order to build up a digital 3D-computer model. The result of the educational project was a three-dimensional video computer simulation - as if the project of the young Leonidov would exist at Moscow's Pushkin Place. The work on the project showed that a virtual collaboration" could work without any problems and very successfully.
